Limited (role)

Screen: Users (step 2 of 7).

What it is

One half of the Role switch on each person's card. Limited makes this person a limited user.

What to enter

Click Limited. New people after the first are Limited to start with.

What it changes

In the house: The hub is told the role at Save & Deploy. A limited person gets only the rooms set for them on the Rooms screen. Connect from outside home starts Off for them.

In the app: As the screen says: limited people control their visible rooms and change their own PIN.

If it goes wrong

• If you make the only admin Limited, the warning Every home needs at least one admin — the owner. shows. The next admin in the list becomes the owner.
• Making someone Limited does not untick the rooms they were given as an admin. Check the Rooms screen.
