Floor name

What it is

The name box at the left of each floor card, for example Basement Floor. Next to it is the number of rooms on that floor.

What to enter

The floor name as the owner would say it, for example Ground Floor.

What it changes

In the app: The floor name is shown in the app above that floor's rooms (the floor picker), at the next Save & Deploy. It is also used when the configurator makes device names shorter (Generate names): words of the floor name are dropped from device names.

In the house: The floor name goes into the hub's settings file with the project at the next Save & Deploy.

If it goes wrong

If two floors have the same name, the owner cannot tell them apart in the app. Give each floor its own name.
