Dim (Dimmable switch)

What it is

An on/off switch: whether a Crestron light can dim.

What to enter

Turn it on for a dimmer. Leave it off for a light that only switches.

What it changes

In the house: The project saves this by itself. It reaches the house and the phones at the next Save & Deploy. The hub's joins are not changed. The Homeowner Guide lists the light as Dimmable or On/Off.

In the app: On a Crestron light that is off, the phone shows an on/off tile with no slider, even if a Level join is set. On a KNX light the switch is not used: the app dims when the light has a dim level or step address.

If it goes wrong

• A dimmer with no slider: turn this on and check the Level join.
