AC / fan address box

What it is

A filled address box on an air conditioner or fan row, under headings Power, Temperature, Mode and Fan. Each box is labelled with what it does and its KNX data type. It can be typed in while editing.

What to enter

A KNX group address (x/x/x). Clearing a box is allowed unless it is the last address the AC or fan has.

What it changes

In the app: The AC's control in the app uses this address at the next Save & Deploy. A box left empty means the app shows that value without a control.

In the house: The hub's KNX AC list gets the address at the next Save & Deploy.

If it goes wrong

An air conditioner keeps at least one address means you tried to clear the last one; set the type back to Light instead. If the change takes a device out of the home, a box asks first and lists what would be retired; press Cancel there to undo the change. A retired device's identity is never given out again.
