What it is

The home's time zone. It starts on Automatic — from the hub's location.

What to enter

As the screen says: leave it on Automatic. Set a zone only if the portal shows the wrong one, for example a site whose internet goes through another country.

What it changes

In the house: Automatic sends nothing, and the hub takes the zone from where it stands. A zone you pick is sent to the hub at Save & Deploy and always wins. The hub uses it for times of day: scheduled and sunrise/sunset actions, and the update window.

In the app: Nothing directly. Times set in the app run by the hub's clock in this zone.

If it goes wrong

• Actions run at the wrong hour: check the zone here and on the portal.
• A saved value that is not a real zone shows as not a time zone; the hub will use Automatic. Pick a real zone.
