Ask an admin to approve each new phone

What it is

A switch for the whole home. It is on by default.

What to enter

On: an admin must approve every new phone. Off: a person's PIN alone lets a new phone in. Set it as the customer asks.

What it changes

In the house: The hub is told at Save & Deploy. When on, the hub refuses to remember a new phone unless an admin approved it. When off, a correct PIN is enough. The hub still slows repeated wrong PINs.

In the app: The app is built with the same setting, so the app and the hub agree.

If it goes wrong

• As the screen warns: with it off, anyone who learns a four-digit PIN could add a phone unseen.
• A new phone cannot get in: with it on, an admin must approve it. Check an admin has login codes on.
