Save & Deploy

What it is

The gold button in the Save & Deploy pop-up. It is the one press that sends the project to the home.

What to enter

Check the lines in the pop-up first: the home under Deploying to and the people getting a login.

What it changes

In the app: it saves the project, then publishes a new app for that home, so phones in the home are offered the update. In the house: it sends the new hub settings (bridge config); the hub applies them within about 60 seconds. You may be asked for an authenticator code first. If there is no Audio Video licence, TVs, music, receivers and streaming boxes are left out and the pop-up says so.

If it goes wrong

Progress and errors show on the Deploy step. If devices could not be identified, nothing is deployed; press Deploy again. HALF-DEPLOYED means the app was published but the hub did not get its settings; use Send to the hub again. If the hub does not collect them in 60 seconds you are offered Ask the hub to fetch now.

Most unfinished items do not stop Deploy. Only these do: people without a login or PIN, AC units with no modes, AC units with no fan speeds (or no KNX fan type), an AC set temperature range that cannot be true, and two rooms or two devices with the same name. When one of these is missing, Deploy is blocked and a box shows the problem. Press Go there to open the place to fix it.
