Address typed by hand (hub)

Screen: Project & Bridge (step 1 of 7) — Hub card, after Use a different address….

What it is

A box for the hub's address on the house network, typed by hand.

What to enter

The hub's address, for example 192.168.1.20. Leave it alone unless the hub's own address cannot be reached.

What it changes

In the house: It is written into the hub's settings and the Join Map at Save & Deploy.

In the app: As the screen says: it is used only as the app's first guess. The app also asks the cloud for the hub's address. If it differs from what the hub reports, the card says so.

If it goes wrong

• Phones cannot find the hub: check the address the hub reports on the card. Type an address here only if that one cannot be reached.
• It reaches the hub and the phones only after Save & Deploy on the Deploy step.
