Scene name

Screen: Room Devices (step 5 of 7) — Scenes card, top of each scene column.

What it is

The name box at the top of each scene column.

What to enter

Type the name the owner will see, for example Dinner. Press Enter or click away to save it. Two hub scenes in one room cannot have the same name.

What it changes

In the house: The scene keeps its own permanent number, so renaming does not break it. At the next Save & Deploy the hub gets the new name.

In the app: The scene button shows the new name after the next deploy.

If it goes wrong

If the name is already used in the room, the rename is refused and the old name stays. Pick another name.
