Projector (None / Projector)
Screen: Room Devices — a room's TV & audio card, Projector box.
What it is
The list at the top of the Projector box. It says whether this room has a projector.
What to enter
Pick Projector to add one, or None to take it away. A new projector starts with 2 HDMI ports and every join empty.
What it changes
In the house: The project saves this by itself. At the next Save & Deploy, a projector with a Power on or Power off join is sent to the hub, which then lowers the screen when the projector is switched on and raises it when it is switched off.
In the app: A room with a projector and no TV shows the projector in the app as its video device: power, the HDMI inputs and the menu keys you gave joins for.
If it goes wrong
- Picking None removes the projector and all its joins at once. There is no undo; pick Projector again and re-enter the joins.
- In a room that also has a TV, the app lists both in the TV page's device menu (a list on the phone, buttons on the iPad). Pick the projector to open its own remote. From then on the room's source buttons drive the projector: the hub runs the room's power sequence for the projector (its TV step switches the projector on, not the TV), starts the source, and switches the projector to its input of the same name. Pick the TV again and the source buttons go back to the TV.
- All off in such a room turns off both the TV and the projector.
- A source the projector has no input for (no input with that name or type) is not switched, and the app records it. Give the projector an input with the source's name.
- With an older hub, the app switches the projector itself (power on, then the input), without the room's power sequence.
