Pair Apple TV
Screen: Room Devices (step 5 of 7) — TV & audio, an Apple TV source.
What it is
Pairs the hub with an Apple TV so the app's remote can control it. It shows once the Apple TV has an address. The line under it says Paired · remote ready or Not paired yet — no remote until paired.
What to enter
- Turn the TV on and pick the Apple TV input.
- Press Pair Apple TV. The box says Waiting for the code on the TV….
- When the Apple TV shows a 4-digit code, type it in the four boxes.
- Press Pair.
The project must be bound to a home, and the Apple TV must already be on the hub (Save & Deploy first). Pairing here or in the app does the same thing; the first one used counts.
What it changes
In the house: LuxeLife passes the request to the hub, which pairs with the Apple TV and keeps the pairing.
In the app: The Apple TV remote in the app works once paired. The project notes it as paired.
If it goes wrong
- No code on the TV: is the TV on, and on the Apple TV input? Press Try again.
- That code didn't match: press Try again; the TV shows a new code.
- The hub has no Apple TV yet: press Save & Deploy first, then pair.
- The hub could not be asked: the project is not bound, or the hub is offline. Pair from the app at the house.
