Name (Global Caché unit)

Screen: Room Devices — Global Caché unit box (opened from + New Global Caché unit… in an IR Unit or AC System list).

What it is

The name of the Global Caché IR unit, for example Rack 1. It is filled in for you as Rack plus the next number.

What to enter

A short name that says where the unit sits. Blank becomes Global Caché.

What it changes

In the house: Nothing is kept until you press Add. After that the name is saved in the project. At the next Save & Deploy the hub gets the unit under this name, but only if an IR source, TV or AC with at least one code uses it. The hub uses the name in its log.

In the app: The phones do not show it. It appears in the configurator's Unit and System lists.

If it goes wrong

• A wrong name is only a label. Nothing stops working.
