Model (Global Caché unit)

Screen: Room Devices — Global Caché unit box (opened from + New Global Caché unit… in an IR Unit or AC System list).

What it is

The kind of Global Caché unit: iTach IP2IR, GC-100-06, GC-100-12 or Global Connect / Flex.

What to enter

Pick the model printed on the unit. iTach IP2IR is the default.

What it changes

In the house: Saved with the unit when you press Add, and sent to the hub at the next Save & Deploy (when the unit is in use). The hub only shows the model in its status. It does not change how the hub sends IR.

In the app: Nothing on the phones.

If it goes wrong

• A wrong model does not stop IR. If the hub says the unit cannot learn IR, that comes from the unit itself, not from this choice.
