Add (Global Caché unit)

Screen: Room Devices — Global Caché unit box (opened from + New Global Caché unit… in an IR Unit or AC System list).

What it is

Adds the new Global Caché unit and picks it in the list you came from.

What to enter

1. Fill in Name, Model and Address.
2. Press Add.

What it changes

In the house: The unit is saved in the project with port 4998 and a permanent id that is never reused. The hub gets it at the next Save & Deploy, but only once an IR source, TV or AC with at least one code uses it.

In the app: Nothing shows on the phones until a device on the unit has codes.

If it goes wrong

• A bad address keeps the box open with An IPv4 address on the house network, e.g. 192.168.1.40.
• There is no button in this version to remove a unit once added. A unit nothing uses is simply not sent to the hub.
