Connect from outside home (switch)

What it is

The On / Off switch in the People table, one per person. It says if this person can use the app away from the home.

What to enter

Click to turn it On or Off. New people start Off; admins start On. The Guest is always Off and cannot be changed (Guests never connect from outside).

What it changes

In the house: The hub gets the setting at Save & Deploy and enforces it. The home's admin can also change it in the app. The newest change wins.

In the app: With it Off, the person's app works only at home. A change the admin makes in the app shows here the next time you open the project.

If it goes wrong

• Away from home is off for this home, so nobody can connect from outside. Add it on the portal's Projects card.: the switch does nothing until Away from home is added on the portal.
• Guest · 7 days: a guest's phone stays approved for 7 days after an admin approves it, then needs a new code (ADR-0015).
