AC mode, fan and step switches

Screen: Room Devices (step 5 of 7) — the coloured band under an AC on the AC card.

What it is

Three switches in the AC band. Cooling / Heating says what the machine can do. Fan says 3 speeds (Low, Med, High) or 5 speeds (1 to 5). Step says whether the set point moves by 1° or 0.5°. The chosen part is white.

What to enter

Press the part that matches the machine:

1. Cooling or Heating.
2. 3 speeds or 5 speeds (hover to see the speeds).
3. 1° or 0.5°. 1° is the default.

What it changes

In the house: The project saves this by itself. It reaches the house and the phones at the next Save & Deploy. The hub is told which modes, fan speeds and step this AC has.

In the app: The AC page offers only these modes and fan speeds, and moves the temperature by this step.

If it goes wrong

• While Cooling/Heating or Fan is not set (red), Save & Deploy is blocked; the blocks box's Go there brings you here.
• Offering Heat on a cooling-only machine can fault its outdoor unit. Choose from the machine's own data.
• The Fan switch is not drawn for a KNX AC with no fan address.
